West Indies cricket team is on Pakistan tour for a two-match test series. The first test match of the series has started from today at Multan Cricket Stadium. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first against West Indies, but this decision of captain Shan Masood did not prove to be good for Pakistan. Pakistan lost its four wickets for just 46 runs.
Pakistan suffered the fourth blow in the form of star batsman Babar Azam, who became the victim of Jayden Seales after scoring 8 runs in 20 balls. After the manner in which Babar was out, the fans are venting their anger on him. Actually, Seals’ ball hit the outer edge of Babar’s bat and went into the gloves of wicketkeeper Tevin Imlach. The umpire gave him out, but Babar challenged the decision and took DRS.
It was clear in the DRS replays that the ball had taken the edge of Babar’s bat, after which the fans started trolling Babar. He said that Babar should not have wasted DRS in this manner. After Babar’s dismissal, Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel tried to handle Pakistan’s innings.
Captain Shan Masood was out after scoring 11 runs, while Mohammad Huraira returned to the pavilion after scoring only 6 runs. Kamran Ghulam was also able to contribute only 5 runs. Three of the first four wickets went to Jayden Seales’ account. Both Pakistan and West Indies teams are already out of the race for the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25. Huraira debuted for Pakistan in this match, but his first innings was not memorable at all.
