‘Baba Banda Singh’ Clinic Becomes 65th Sanjivani Clinic In City | Representative Image

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a major boost to public healthcare services in the city, a new Sanjivani Clinic named ‘Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Clinic’ has come 65th Sanjivani clinic to be inaugurated in the city.

The clinic, established n Ward No 34 in Assembly Indore-2 seat, was inaugurated by Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav under the flagship Sanjivani Clinic Yojana, a health initiative of the Indore Municipal Corporation aimed at providing accessible and free primary medical services to the city’s residents.

The event witnessed the presence of several key dignitaries, including IMC chairman Munnalal Yadav, MLA Ramesh Mendola, BJP city president Sumit Mishra, Mayor-in-Council member Rajendra Rathore, local corporator Seema Sanjay Chaudhary and others.

The clinic will operate under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, ensuring delivery of high-quality medical services. It will offer 200 types of essential medicines and 118 diagnostic tests—including blood sugar, thyroid and kidney function tests—completely free of cost to the patients.

Speaking at the event, Bhargav expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister for supporting the initiative and emphasised the clinic’s importance, stating, “This clinic will prove to be a boon for the poor. It’s not only a healthcare centre, but a symbol of public service and beautification of the area.” He added that the clinic has been established on a site that was once a neglected pit, now transformed into a vital community asset. Currently, 65 of Indore’s 85 wards have functional Sanjivani Clinics, with efforts ongoing to cover the remaining areas.
