Delhi Capitals skipper Axar Patel made Mitchell Starc recite a famous Bollywood dialogue in a lighthearted moment as IPL 2025 gears up for resumption. In a video released by the Capitals on May 14, 2025, Axar made the Aussie speedster say the dialogue from Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Shahenshah after inviting the latter on the stage.
Starc, who played a critical role in Kolkata Knight Riders’ title victory last year, was surprisingly released by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. However, the southpaw found a bidder in the Capitals, who shelled out ₹11.75 crore in the auction. The veteran has claimed 14 wickets in 12 games at 27.29 alongside a fifer.

“Rishte mein hum tumhaare baap lagte hain. Naam hai Mitchell Starc.(In terms of relationships, I am like your father. Name is Mitchell Starc),” he said.
