In a major development in Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash’s suicide case, the deceased’s wife, Nikita Singhania, her mother, and brother Anurag have been arrested in connection with the case.

According to DCP White Field Division Shivkumar, “Accused Nikita Singhania has been arrested from Gurugram, Haryana. Accused Nisha Singhania and Anurag Singhania arrested from Prayagraj and produced before the court and given to judicial custody.”

This comes days after Atul hanged himself in his Bengaluru apartment, leaving behind a 24-page suicide note and an 80-minute video in which he accused Nikita and her family of harassment and extortion.

Subhash’s wife, his mother-in-law, and brother-in-law have been produced in court and will be remanded in custody. Earlier, Bengaluru police had asked them to appear within three days.

In Bengaluru, 34-year-old AI engineer Atul Subhash, originally from Uttar Pradesh, tragically ended his life at his residence. Following a complaint by Atul’s brother, Bikas Kumar, an FIR was lodged at Marathahalli Police Station on Wednesday. His wife, Nikita Singhania; mother-in-law, Nisha Singhania; brother-in-law, Anurag Singhania; and uncle-in-law, Sushil Singhania, have been charged under Section 108 (abetment of suicide) and Section 34 (common intention) of BNS.
