Due to ongoing issues with water supply in the city, the Municipal Corporation and Nashik Smart City Company have initiated measures to improve water distribution. In its official note it is informed that various maintenance and upgrade works will be undertaken on Saturday, resulting in the complete shutdown of water supply across the city. On Sunday, water will be supplied at low pressure.
The Nashik Smart City Company, along with the Municipal Corporation’s Water Supply and Distribution Department, has scheduled several tasks, including the installation of flow meters and valves at various water treatment and auxiliary centres. The planned works are as follows:
Panchavati Water Treatment Centre: Relocation of high-pressure poles.
Gandhinagar Water Treatment Centre: Installation of flow meters.
Nashik Road Water Treatment Centre: Installation of flow meters and valves at multiple locations.
Shivaji Nagar Water Treatment Centre: Installation of flow meters in various areas.
Similar maintenance tasks will also be carried out at auxiliary water treatment centers. Installation of valves and water meters on the main channel in Satpur Division. Stopping the leakage of the channel at Karbon Naka in Satpur Ward 9. Repair of a 900 mm channel leakage at Ashoknagar in Ward 10. Repair of the water channel at Govindnagar Jogging Track. Repair of the valve at Pathardi Phata.
Stopping leakages in water channels near Kashish Hotel and Anandnagar Kumbha Channel at Hotel Radisson Blu. Installation of valves on water channels at Vasan Nagar, Rane Nagar, and Pathardi Phata. Repair of leakage in the Sanjay Gandhi Nagar channel in Upnagar, Nashik Road Division. Stopping leakage in the channel filling Pawarwadi Jalkumb In Jail Road signal.
The water supply will remain completely shut off from 8 am to 8 pm on Saturday. On Sunday, water will be supplied at reduced pressure. The Municipal Corporation has appealed to citizens to plan accordingly and cooperate during this time.
