The country’s largest oil company Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has not appealed to the people to panic. The company has clarified that there is a sufficient stock of petrol, diesel and cooking gas (LPG) across the country and fuel supply at all shops continues normally. This explanation came after some videos went viral on social media, in which people are seen standing in long queues at petrol pumps to buy fuel amid reports of India-Pakistan tension.
The IOC said in a post on social media platform X, “Indian Oil has enough fuel stock across the country and our supply lines are working smoothly. There is no need to panic – fuel and LPG are easily available at all our outlets.”
The company has appealed to the public to maintain peace and avoid unnecessary congestion, so that there is no disruption in supply and everyone can get fuel on time.
