Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Athletes from Madhya Pradesh won four medals in Khelo India Para Games 2025 on Saturday. The tournament is being held from March 20 to 27. The medals included two gold and two bronze. Bharat Rawat won gold medal in F-33 category athletics (shot put) whereas Arpit Sharma won gold medal in T-36 category athletics (400m).

Sachin Sahu won bronze medal in T-36 category athletics (400m) and  Komal Tyagi won bronze medal in F-11 category athletics (discus throw). Arpit has won the second medal in T-36 category in the tournament. He won silver in the 100m on Friday. He is taking training at Tatya Tope Stadium Bhopal under coach Mujeeb Khan.

MP have won a total of five medals including 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal to date in the tournament. A total of 40 strong contingent including 24 players, trainers and escort from Madhya Pradesh is participating in the competition.

Wins 6 medals at 4th National Open Throw Competition

The players of Madhya Pradesh State Athletics Academy won six medals including 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze in the 4th National Open Throw Competition 2025. 

The contest was organised from March 20 to 21 in Mumbai. Dev Meena won gold medal by jumping 5.15 m in pole vault event of under-20 category and Samardeep Singh won  gold  by jumping 18.52 m in shot put event.

Nikita Akare won gold medal by jumping 3.70 m in pole vault event of under-20 category whereas Shruti Rathore won silver medal by setting a score of 3.30 m in pole vault event of under-20 category. Nitin Pal won gold medal by setting a score of 7.11 m in long jump event of under-20 category. Yashraj Jain secured bronze medal in discus throw event.

MP’s shooters represent India in ISSF World Cup 

Players of MP State Shooting Academy Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar and Arshi Chouksey will represent India in 50m 03 position event  in ISSF World Cup 2025 .  The competition was organised in Argentina from March 27 to 11 April  and in Peru (Lima) from  April 12 to 22. Both the shooters are in first place in India with their new national record.
