New Delhi: A unique space-themed polling station named ‘Chandrayaan Se Chunav Tak Bharat Ki Udaan’ has caught the voters’ attention in Delhi’s Vikaspuri. The initiative aims to highlight India’s journey from space exploration to its democratic participation.

According to a report by ANI, the booth offers an immersive experience to the voters with installed telescopes and bioscopes. In addition, volunteers dressed as astronauts are present to assist the voters at the station.

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), till 1:00 PM, a voter turnout of 33.31% was recorded on Wednesday in the single-phase Delhi Assembly Elections.

North-East Delhi recorded the highest voter turnout at 39.51%, while Central Delhi had the lowest at 29.74%. The voter turnout in other districts was as follows: South West (35.44%), New Delhi (29.89%), East (33.66%), North (32.44%), North West (33.17%), Shahdara (35.81%), South (32.67%), South East (32.27%), and West (30.87%).

Polling for all 70 constituencies and by-elections for one seat each in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu began at 7:00 AM on February 5.
