Model-actor Asim Riaz has once again found himself in the middle of controversy. After being shown the door mid-season from Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 last year, reports now suggest that he has been dropped from another reality show, Battleground, following a heated altercation with co-judges Abhishek Malhan and Rubina Dilaik.
A report in India Today stated that tensions flared on set during Thursday’s shoot when a disagreement between Asim and Abhishek escalated into a major argument.
“What seemed like a normal tiff slowly became a massive fight. Asim allegedly also insulted Rubina Dilaik who intervened to sort out their differences. As things heated up, they all rushed to their vanity, calling off the shoot,” a source informed the news portal.
Post the incident, Asim was reportedly asked to step away from the show. However, the report further stated that discussions are still ongoing between his team and the show’s producers in an attempt to resolve the matter.
Neither Asim nor the show’s makers have made an official statement yet.
Asim and Rubina’s fight
A few days back, a video went viral on social media, which shows Asim and Rubina getting into a heated argument after Asim takes a jibe at the actress.
He also passed a distasteful comment against the actress. Later, judge Shikhar Dhawan asked Asim to apologise to Rubina for his remark. He apologised, stating that he didn’t mean it and it just came out in the heat of the moment. The actress accepted his apology.

When Asim was kicked out of Khatron Ke Khiladi
In September 2024, the Bigg Boss 13 fame stirred up a controversy after he had a fight with Khatron Ke Khiladi host Rohit Shetty and other contestants in the first week of the show. He was expelled from the reality show because of his behaviour.
During one of the initial episodes, Asim was seen arguing with Rohit and even charging at him at one point. When co-contestant Abhishek Kumar intervened, he had a heated exchange with him too, and it escalated to the rapper boasting about his wealth and cars. He also called the contestants ‘losers’. After he walked out from the spot, Rohit announced that he was expelled from the show.
It all started after Asim failed to successfully complete a task and was pulled up for it. He challenged the makers to perform the task and called it ‘impossible’.
Asim also went on to claim that he makes triple the money the show offered him and that the makers were mooching off his popularity.
