Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): Ashwani Kumar has officially taken charge as the 54th divisional railway manager (DRM) of the Western Railway Ratlam division. A senior officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) from the 1996 batch, Kumar brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

Before his appointment, Kumar served as chief commercial manager (Passenger Management) at East Coast Railway in Bhubaneswar.

His career began in the Eastern Railway, and he has held various positions across operations, commercial, vigilance, and safety departments in multiple divisions, including East Central Railway, North Western Railway, and Northern Railway.

Notably, he was the general manager of Delhi Metro and CRIS. In his first address, Kumar said that safety, punctuality, and passenger comfort will be his top priorities, alongside the timely completion of development projects.

Services of 8 trains extended

In response to passenger demand and convenience, Western Railway Ratlam division has announced an extension of services for eight trains. This initiative aims to enhance travel options for commuters. These trains included Ajmer Bandra Terminus Special, Bandra Terminus Ajmer Special, Ajmer Daund Special, Daund Ajmer Special train, Ajmer Solapur Special train, and Bikaner Sai Nagar Shirdi Special train.
