Ashoknagar, 8 July (Hindustan Times). A truck coming from behind crushed two youths who fell from a bike near the District Court in the city on Saturday, killing them on the spot. Both the deceased were real brothers. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter by sending the bodies of both of them for postmortem. Police has arrested the truck driver.
According to information received from the police, 48-year-old Prithviraj’s son Mangilal Jatav, a resident of Malviya Nagar, Indore, used to make sofas in Ashoknagar area for 20 years and his brother Durgesh Jatav lived in Guna. Both of them used to keep coming to each other. Prithviraj’s son was also staying in Ashok Nagar for some days. On Friday, Prithviraj had gone to Guna to his brother. On Saturday morning, Prithviraj was coming from Ashoknagar bike with his brother Durgesh. Meanwhile, at around 11:30 am, his bike suddenly slipped near the District Court. As soon as the bike fell on the ground, at the same time a speeding truck came from behind and ran over both of them. The wheel of the truck passed over both the brothers, killing them on the spot. On the information of the passers-by, the police reached the spot and the bodies of both were sent to the hospital for postmortem. The police arrested the truck driver and started investigation into the matter.
