Gujarat Titans return to winning ways after beating SunRisers Hyderabad comprehensively

A few days after 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s 35-ball 100 blew the Titans away in Jaipur despite scoring 209, the Gujarat-based franchise have bounced back exceptionally well, beating the SunRisers by 38 runs. With Pat Cummins opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Titans’ openers Shubman Gill and B Sai Sudharsan got them off to a rollicking toss with a 87-run stand only in 7.5 overs. Jos Buttler also continued his sensational run, slamming 64 off only 37 balls as the Titans amassed 224/6 in 20 overs.

In reply, only Abhishek Sharma was the standout performer for the SunRisers, scoring 74 off 41 balls as the tourists were eventually restricted to only 186/6. While the loss further hit SunRisers’ playoff hopes, the Titans’ victory propelled them to the second spot.
