Legendary singer Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle was all over the news of late after she posted a photo with Team India cricketer Mohammed Siraj on her social media handle. The photo sparked rumours of the two dating, however, both of them subtly cleared the air, addressing each other as ‘bhai’ and ‘behna’ in their latest posts.
It all began after Zanai shared a slew of photos from her 23rd birthday party in Mumbai, and one of them was a candid shot of the singer sitting next to Siraj and sharing an adorable moment. Within no time, the picture of the two went viral and netizens wondered if there was romance brewing between the two.
While Zanai and Siraj did not directly address the rumours, on Sunday, the former took to her Instagram stories to share the same picture with Siraj, this time with the caption, “Mere pyaare bhai.”
Siraj reshared the story on his Instagram handle and penned a cutesy note for his ‘sister’. “Meri behna ke jaisi koi behna nahin. Bina iske kahin bhi mujhe rehna nahin. Jaise hai chaand sitaaron mein, meri behna hai ek hazaaron mein (sic),” he wrote, thus putting an end to the dating rumours.
On the work front, Zanai is all set to make her acting debut soon. She will be seen playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s wife Rani Sai Bhonsale in filmmaker Sandeep Ssingh’s The Pride of Bharat – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The announcement was made in March 2024.
Zanai is already an established singer and a trained dancer. She started singing when she was 10 years old. Her YouTube bio reads, “Guitar, basketball, dance and drama have always been a major part of who I am.”
