Navi Mumbai: Marking a historic milestone, Arya Samaj, a renowned socio-cultural organization, celebrated 150 years of its remarkable journey with a grand event last week at the CIDCO Exhibition and Convention Center, Navi Mumbai.
The event was organized by Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Mumbai in collaboration with Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Delhi. It highlighted Arya Samaj’s contributions over the past 150 years, reaffirming its commitment to Vedic principles, social equality, and nation-building.
The occasion also paid tribute to the visionary leadership of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, who was born on February 12, 1824, in Tankara, Gujarat.

The year 2023 was celebrated as the 200th birth anniversary year of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the two-year-long celebrations from New Delhi in 2023 commemorating Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati’s birthday. In the following year, India’s President Droupadi Murmu visited Maharishi Dayanand’s birthplace in Tankara, Gujarat.
Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati’s establishment of Arya Samaj had set the foundation for an organization built on democratic values and dedicated to the upliftment of society.

The event featured a Social Impact Showcase, highlighting Arya Samaj’s enduring contributions to education, social upliftment, and environmental sustainability. The cultural performances celebrated the legacy of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, reminding attendees of the movement’s relentless pursuit of truth and justice.
As the celebrations concluded, a strong resolution was passed to continue addressing social injustices and guiding the youth toward a life of purpose and responsibility. The organizers expressed gratitude to all participants and supporters who made the event a grand success.
The two-day celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat as the chief guest, and S.K. Arya, President, Akhil Bharatiya Dayanand Sewashram Sangh and Chairman, JBM Group and a steadfast supporter of Arya Samaj’s mission, as the guest of honour. Senior officials from Arya Samaj, devotees, social reformers, students, teachers, and social groups from across India and abroad.
