Kejriwal’s thinking towards Vipassana
In a podcast during the Delhi Assembly elections, Kejriwal discussed the importance of Vipassana in detail. He described it as “medium to end sorrow”. According to Kejriwal, he has done about 25 Vipassana courses so far.
They said-
“I like Vipassana because it is completely based on science. It does not have any kind of faith. This is only experience based method. It is said that try it yourself, if you feel effective, do it, otherwise leave it. I am an engineer and I have been a student of science. I only attract scientific things, so I love Vipassana very much. “
He also told that Vipassana is different for every person. He said-
“It took me about 17-18 courses to understand its depth. Whatever is taught here can be experienced gradually. ”
Vipassana and Buddha Darshan
Kejriwal described Vipassana as a scientific process and explained that everything in this world is made of vibration. He said-
“After all, everyone needs peace in life. You cannot change the world, but can change yourself. “
In the context of the life of Gautama Buddha, he told that –
“When Buddha saw the world, he found that every person is sad. They thought that if there is sorrow, then there will be any reason for that, and then it should also be resolved. ”
Buddha also understood that the mind works at four levels:
- Vision and experience
- Gentleman
- Breathing part controls in the body
- Reactive part
How can grief end?
According to Buddha, if the fourth part of the mind (which reacts) is controlled, sorrow can be eliminated. Kejriwal explained this and said-
“If I stop reacting to the sensations in my body, then there will be no effect on me. All mental disorders are generated from within, not external things, but from within. ”
He said that Vipassana teaches us that-
“Instead of changing the outside world, we should focus on the change inside us. True peace is achieved when we stop reacting to the sensations inside. This is the basic essence of Vipassana. “
