Educator-turned-politician Avadh Ojha, who recently joined the Aam Aadmi Party, praised former Delhi chief minister and party convenor Arvind Kejriwal by calling him the avatar of Lord Krishna.

Ojha, whom the party has announced will contest from the Patparganj seat in the upcoming Delhi Assembly election, told news agency IANS, “Arvind Kejriwal is certainly like a god. I have always said that he is the incarnation of Krishna. Whenever someone tries to bring change in society, especially when they try to become a messiah for the poor, the societal ‘Kans’ (evil forces) come after them…”

“Delhi has become a model state for the whole country. Some people are afraid that Kejriwal will become Prime Minister in 2029,” he further added.

The dates for the Delhi Assembly elections, which are due in February next year, haven’t been announced by the Election Commission of India yet.

However, the polling body is expected to make an announcement regarding the Delhi Assembly election in the first week of January.

The ruling Aam Aadmi Party has kicked off its election campaign and has announced candidates for all 70 seats in the Union Territory.

At the beginning of this month, Avadh Ojha joined the Aam Aadmi Party in the presence of former Delhi CM and party supremo Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi on December 2.

Days after he joined the AAP, Ojha was named as the candidate from Patparganj in the party’s second list.
