Raipur, 16 November (HS). The artists of Mundari dance troupe of Jashpur district, who had come to showcase their art in the two-day Tribal Pride Day org.zed in the capital Raipur, met Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai at his residence office here on Friday night. He told the Chief Minister that his team members are very excited to showcase their art in the main function of the capital. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for the opportunity given through this event.
The Chief Minister also asked these artists about the well-being of their village, in response to which the team members told that they are residents of Bachhraon Gram Panchayat of Bagicha development block of Badalkhol Sanctuary. Families of Muda, Nagesia, Pahari Korwa and Oraon tribes reside here. This area is elephant infested. In this village with a population of three thousand, these people demanded seven street lights from the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister assured them to install street lights. This group of folk artists included Pratibha Munda, Meena Munda, Shanta, Vishnu Barla, Ramdayal, Sunita, Anuradha, Amita Barla, Vishnu Manjhi and Vishwanath Pradhan etc.
