Singer Tony Kakkar seemingly came out in support of his sister Neha Kakkar after the latter was slammed for arriving extremely late for her Melbourne concert, which resulted into her breaking down on the stage. While Tony did not take names, he questioned whose responsibility was it if the artist was not provided with basic amenities ahead of their concert.
Tony took to his Instagram on Tuesday evening and wrote, “Suppose I invite you to my city for an event and take full responsibility for all arrangements – booking your hotel, car, airport pickup, and tickets. Now, imagine you arrive only to find that nothing has been booked. No car at the airport, no hotel reservation, and no tickets. In that situation, who is to blame?”
Along with the post, he added the disclaimer, “Ek Sawaal Hai.. Kisi ke liye nahi hai.. Bas sawaal hai.. Hypothetically (sic).”
In another post, he asked, “Artist maryada mein rahe aur janta?”
Netizens felt that Tony penned the notes to defend his sister Neha, who was brutally trolled and booed for reaching late for her concert in Melbourne.
Fans, who had arrived at the venue to attend her concert, claimed that she reached the venue almost 3 hours late. As soon as she entered the stage, she said, “Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho. I hate it, maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya hai. Aap itni der se wait kar rahe ho, I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. Aaj aap log mere liye itna kimti time nikaal kar aaye ho. I will make sure that I will make you all dance.” While at it, she was also seen breaking down in tears and apologising to her fans.
But the audience waiting at the venue seemed unimpressed and called her tears “fake”. The singer reportedly performed for less than an hour, leaving the concert-goers with a sour experience.
