Leh: As China started building villages from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh towards Tibet and even established some villages, India started building villages starting from Ladakh to Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Sikkim and Bhutan. responded by launching a “Vibrant-Village Programme” between Dalchok and Bhutan. Arunachal Pradesh has taken action including Kargil and Daulat-Beg-Oldie in the north. The application also covers the lake and Galwan Valley. Siachen is also included in this.

Under this program, 4-G connectivity has been provided to connect the villages in those areas.

This operation has been carried out by the Army’s Fortich Corps in Ladakh. This army has been entrusted with the responsibility of security in Ladakh. Saying this, the army spokesperson said that actually this action has been started from June 2024. Now information about it is being given after its completion.

The Indian Army spokesperson further said that the Indian Army has installed 4G towers at certain locations in the Bharti-Airtel Govt. So that connectivity becomes faster and easier.

The Army has installed 42 4-G mobile telegraphs in the Ladakh region in five months (14 cores) even in sub-zero temperatures. Which covers Kargil, Siachen, Dalchok, DBO and Galwan Ghats, thus serving both the public and the army in Ladakh.

Tourists can now visit Ladakh without any fear. They have indispensable facility in getting connectivity from these towers. Apart from this, online education can also be provided in the previously backward area (Ladakh). Also, health services will be provided faster in remote villages. Local people can also take advantage of many schemes launched by the Central Government.

An Army spokesperson further clarified that China has started establishing new villages along the Line of Control, a process it has named She-O-Kang. In response to this, India has taken this drastic action.
