Bank Holiday, This Saturday?
The banking system is the backbone of the economic system, and it is at the centre of micro and macro factors of the economy, especially in country like India, which has a rich and diverse realm in place.
The country has a mix of strong and large public sector banks, co-existing with valuable private banking enterprises.
A significant part of the Indian workforce works in the service sector and many of these entities that employ them have 6-day and 5-day workweeks.
Therefore, Saturday becomes crucial for these individuals to carry out their banking-related activities.
This Saturday, however, will not be the day, when individuals will be able to exercise the use of physical offices.
Banks will be operational on Monday, January 27, after Republic Day celebrations on Sunday, 26 January.
In addition, there are no other holidays for the remainder of January
