Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Sikandar has failed to impress the audiences and the critics. The movie took a decent start at the box office with a collection of Rs. 26 crore on day 1. However, the numbers are less than the expectations. While it was expected that the on day 2 (Eid) the film will show a jump at the box office, a senior critic named Amod Mehra has shared on his X (Twitter) that shows of the movie are being cancelled due to no audience.
He shared a screenshot of empty seats at PVR Icon at Andheri, Inifniti Mall, and wrote, “SHOCKING.. Just heard shows of #Sikandar are being cancelled due to no audience.” Check out the tweet below…
This has surely shocked one and all. Salman Khan’s films have been getting a lukewarm response at the box office from the past few years, but shows getting cancelled that too on the second day of the film’s release, is something that we don’t expect from a movie starring a superstar.
Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 1
Sikandar on Sunday collected Rs. 26 crore, which is decent, but not a great number. An opening of Rs. 35 crore would have been an ideal number because it was Sunday, and also there were two festivals being celebrated, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa.
Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 2
It was expected that on day 2, the movie will show good jump. However, looking at the current trend, it looks like the film will collect around Rs. 30 crore on its day 2, which would be less as it is Eid today.
Salman Khan’s Fans Disappointed
While the critics have given a negative review to the film, even Salman’s fans are disappointed with Sikandar. They didn’t expect such a bad movie from their favourite star.
