Katihar, 29 November (HS). Approval was given to commission the Araria Court-Rahmatpur section of the Araria-Galgaliya New Railway Line Project. Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) N.F. The circle gave approval to start this section on Friday. NF Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Kapinjal Kishore Sharma said that the project is 110.75 km long and aims to strengthen the existing railway network and improve the efficiency of overall railway operations in that stretch.
This project will help in decongesting the section and thus ensure smooth movement of rail services in the section. The project has created a large number of jobs in the surrounding area. This will also help in introducing more number of trains in the said area, which will boost the socio-economic development of the people of this region.
There are three station buildings in this section, Araria, Araria Court and Rahmatpur. There are 3 male and 2 female toilets per station for the use of passengers. There are 04 big bridges and 06 small bridges in this section. Additionally, drinking water facility has also been provided to the passengers at the stations. Raised platforms have been constructed for ease of boarding and deboarding of passengers in trains.
