The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has posted the Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination-20 on its official website. A total of 322 positions, including Deputy Superintendent of Police, Food and Civil Supply Officer, Tehsildar, Excise & Taxation Officer (ETO), Labor-cum-Conciliation Officer, and others throughout the state, will be filled by the Commission during the recruitment campaign.

Deputy Superintendent of Police: 17 vacancies

Tehsildar: 27 vacancies

Excise & Taxation Officer (ETO): 121 vacancies

Food and Civil Supply Officer: 13 vacancies

Block Development and Panchayat Officer: 49 vacancies

Assistant Registrar Co-Operative Societies: 21 vacancies

Labour-cum-Conciliation Officer: 03 vacancies

Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training Officer: 12 vacancies

Deputy Superintendent Jails Grade-2 / District Probation Officer: 13 vacancies

Exam pattern:

Prelims Exam:

Two papers, each worth 200 marks, consisting of objective-type (multiple choice) questions.

Paper I: General Studies

Number of Questions: 100

Marks per Question: 2

Total Marks: 200

Paper II: Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT)

Number of Questions: 80

Marks per Question: 2.5

Total Marks: 200

Eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.

Candidates can take the preliminary exam while pursuing the degree, but must provide proof of degree completion to sit for the Main Examination.

Age Limit:

Minimum age: 21 years.

Maximum age: 37 years (as of January 1, 2025).

General Category: ₹1,500

Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) from all states: ₹750

Backward Classes in Punjab State: ₹750

Individuals with Disabilities (PWD): ₹500

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): ₹500

Ex-Servicemen: ₹500

Lineal Descendants of Ex-Servicemen (LDESM) in Punjab State: ₹500

Step 2: On the homepage, click the PPSC recruitment 2025 link.

Step 3: Enter the necessary information.

Step 4: Submit your application form.

Step 5: Upload all the necessary documents.

Step 6: Download, save and take a print out of the application form for future reference.

Selection process:

Candidates will be chosen for these positions based on their performance in the preliminary and main competitive exams, which will be followed by an interview process. The planned date for the Preliminary Combined Competitive Examination-2025 is April 2025.
