The deadline for online applications for the CBSE Merit Scholarship Schemes has been extended to January 10, 2025 according to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Both new applications and renewals under the Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme are subject to the updated deadlines.

Scholarship Details:

Monthly payment amount is ₹500.

Eligible Schemes:

Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2024: For single girls who completed Class 10 in 2024 and are now enrolled in Class 11 at a CBSE-affiliated institution.

Single Girl Child award X 2023 (Renewal 2024): Renewing applications from students who earned the award in 2023.

Eligibility criteria

The scholarship is specifically designed for single female youngsters who are the sole child of their parents. To be eligible, candidates must have achieved a minimum of 60% marks in the CBSE Class 10 Examination and currently be enrolled in Class 11 or 12 at a CBSE-affiliated school.

The scholarship covers tuition fees up to ₹1,500 per month for Class 10, with a 10% annual increase for Classes 11 and 12. For NRI students studying abroad, the maximum tuition fee limit is ₹6,000 per month. Applicants must be Indian nationals to qualify for this scholarship opportunity.

Important guidelines

-Each application must be validated and signed. Unsigned applications will be denied.

-Applicants must provide their bank information, including name, account number, RTGS/NEFT, IFSC code, and bank address.
-An authenticated copy of the Class 11 mark sheet.
-Aadhaar cards are connected to applicants’ bank accounts.
-A verified copy of the bank’s passbook or a cancelled cheque.

-On the homepage, click ‘Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2024 REG’ and then follow the application link.
-Choose whether to submit a new application or renew an existing one.
-Fill out the application form, upload the relevant papers, and submit the application.
