According to media reports, the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) is expected to issue the official notification later this week, marking the official start of the online application process.
Exam Likely to be Held in February
The REET 2025 exams are expected to take place in February 2025, with Paper 1 and Paper 2 exams scheduled for the month. The exact dates will be announced once the notification is made available. The REET exam is conducted at two levels:
– Level 1 is for candidates aspiring to become Primary Teachers (for classes 1 to 5).
– Level 2 is for those aiming for the post of Upper Primary Teacher (for classes 6 to 8).
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to sit for the REET exam, candidates must meet the following requirements:
– Level 1: Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (12th grade) or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks and possess a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, B.L.Ed, or a Diploma in Education (Special Education).
– Level 2: For this level, candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree with a B.Ed, Master’s degree with a B.Ed, or have qualifications like 10+2 with a 4-year B.El.Ed, B.A.Ed, or B.Sc.Ed.
Candidates must also pass the respective level exam to be eligible for appointment as teachers.
Age Limit
The minimum age for candidates wishing to appear for the REET exam is 18 years, and the maximum age is 40 years. However, candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.
