News India Live, Digital Desk: Apple has issued a very important warning for its iPhone users. The company has revealed a new serious security flaw, named ‘Airborne’. Due to this flaw, hackers can put malware in your iPhone, steal your personal information, and even listen to your conversation. Apple has urged all users to update their iPhone in the latest software version immediately.
This security flaw is associated with Apple’s AirPlay feature. Through Airplay, you can share photos, music or videos on smart TVs, speakers or other devices from your iPhone. But this feature has now become the door of danger for hackers. Apple has suggested that until this problem is completely solved, the users should keep the airplay feature closed.
According to the Tech website WIRED report, if a hacker is present on your Wi-Fi network and is connected to that network via a third-party Airplay device, he can take advantage of this flaw and enter a dangerous code in your iPhone. This will not only infect your device, as well as other devices related to the network will also be in danger.
Cyber security company Oligo has found 23 serious flaws in the airplay system. The company says that devices like Airplay- Supported smart TVs, speakers or set-top boxes are often not updated, which can make them easy victims for hackers. Such devices can act like ‘gateways’ in the network, which can establish their control over the entire network.
Oligo Chief Technology Officer Gal Elbaz has warned that millions of Airplay-supported devices are being used worldwide, and until they are updated, they will be targeted by hackers. He advised that users should update all their devices immediately or close the airplay feature completely.
