Apple has recently launched the iPhone 16E, which is the company’s most affordable model. But with this, Apple has closed some of its old iPhone models, which may shock some users. The iPhone 16E has a 6.1-inch OLED screen and A18 bionic chipset, making it a powerful entry-level iPhone.
These three iPhone models closed
Apple has removed the iPhone SE (third generation), iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus from its official website. That is, now these models will not be purchased directly from Apple.

Apart from this, like every year, this time also the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have been closed after the launch of the iPhone 16 series. However, iPhone SE 3, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will not disappear completely from the market. These devices will be available on e-commerce websites like Flipkart and Amazon, but now they will not be purchased from Apple’s official website.
iPhone 16E: SE 4, but price more
Apple’s strategy was quite interesting this time. The iPhone 16E was earlier being called the iPhone SE 4, but Apple launched it as 16E instead of the SE series.
However, the price of iPhone 16E is kept more than already closed models:
- iPhone SE 3 – ₹ 47,900
- iPhone 14 – ₹ 53,999
- iPhone 14 Plus – ₹ 69,900
- iPhone 16E (128GB) – ₹ 59,900
That is, the price of iPhone 16E, replaced by SE 4, is more than iPhone SE 3 and the iPhone is close to 14 Plus.
