The company said that more than half of the iPhones sold in the US are now ready in India, while Mac, iPad, AirPods and Apple Watch are being produced in Vietnam. Although the US government has currently given temporary discounts to smartphones and tech devices from tariff rules, this situation is not permanent. Former President Donald Trump had plans to impose a tariff of up to 145% on products coming from China during his tenure. Later, the White House provided temporary discounts to smartphones, computers and tech equipment, so that companies could shift manufacturing.
