Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has appealed to the people of the state to have children as soon as possible. The Chief Minister said, “The state may have to suffer the consequences of successfully controlling the population in the state.” In addition, he warned that if the parliamentary seats were delimited on the basis of population, Tamil Nadu could suffer heavy losses.
Appeal of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin said in his statement, “Earlier we used to say that you should have time to have children, but now the situation has changed and we have to say that you should have children immediately.” “Therefore, if the demarcation of parliamentary seats is done on the basis of population, then the Lok Sabha seats of Tamil Nadu may be reduced and the state’s representation in Parliament may be reduced.” Stalin has called a meeting of all parties on 5 March on the demarcation issue. The Chief Minister appealed to all political parties to forget their internal differences and attend the meeting and said that the issue of delimitation is very important for Tamil Nadu.
Politics heats up on language and demarcation
Earlier, on the occasion of his 72nd birthday, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu appealed to his party workers and said that today Tamil Nadu is facing two important challenges. One of them is the fight over the language, which is our lifeline. So on the other hand there is a battle of demarcation, which is our right. I appeal to you to explain to people about war. The border will directly affect the self -respect, social justice and public welfare schemes of the state. You have to take this message to the people, so that every citizen can unite to save the state.
It is noteworthy that the delimitation process will start in the year 2026. If delimited on the basis of population, the number of Lok Sabha seats in the southern states may decrease and the number of seats in the northern states may increase. And the southern states are opposing it.
