Content creator Apoorva Makhija aka The Rebel Kid is back on Instagram, over a month after India’s Got Latent controversy. Apoorva commented on her friend, another content creator Sufi Motiwala’s post, and also posted a cryptic note on her broadcast channel on Thursday (March 13).
Earlier today, Sufi posted a video praising Apoorva’s fashion sense. Reacting to the post, Apoorva commented, “Got hated so hard that now even sufi motiwala doesn’t say hateful things about me.” Within a few minutes, her comment garnered over 2,000 likes.
On the other hand, she also posted the first message on her broadcast channel since the controversy.
Her cryptic notes read, “Deewaron ke bhi kaan hote hai.. so, thank you,” along with a red heart emoticon.

Apoorva was not active on Instagram all these days. In fact, she also unfollowed everyone, including her best friends.
Apoorva Makhija’s India’s Got Latent controversy
Apoorva was embroiled in a controversy after appearing as a just on comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show India’s Got Latent, where she clapped back at a contestant over an inappropriate remark.
For those who missed the controversy, it all began when Apoorva confronted a contestant on India’s Got Latent over an inappropriate comment related to female anatomy. While her reaction initially gained support, the situation escalated when another controversy erupted surrounding YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia.
Instead of condemning the remarks, fellow panellists, including Apoorva and Samay, encouraged the conversation. Soon after the videos from the episode surfaced on social media, they were slammed for the controversial and indecent jokes and for promoting ‘obscenity’.
It also led to multiple complaints and FIRs being filed and summons being issued by Maharashtra Cyber Cell, dragging several individuals, including Apoorva.
Apoorva has not issued any statement regarding the controversy yet. On the work front, she recently made her film debut with Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s Nadaaniyaan. In the movie, she played the role of a college student and Khushi’s friend.
