Popular television actor Gaurav Khanna has reportedly won the first season of Celebrity MasterChef India. Despite facing challenges during the initials weeks in the competition, Gaurav made a remarkable comeback later, securing victory in the grand finale episode of the show with his exceptional culinary skills.
According to a report in India Forums, the final challenge required the contestants to replicate one of the judges, Chef Ranveer Brar’s signature dish, Dakshin Express, featuring dry ice – a task that tested the contestants’ technique and creativity. Gaurav’s meticulous approach and flawless execution earned him the top spot, beating strong contenders in a nail-biting finish.
The grand finale episode, which has not been aired yet, will be emotional as well as celebratory, with the families of the top five finalists making a special appearance to cheer them on. Adding to the excitement, actor Karan Kundrra will also be present to support his girlfriend, Tejasswi Prakash, who was one of the finalists.
The debut season of Celebrity MasterChef India featured an impressive lineup of stars, including Tejasswi, Gaurav, Nikki Tamboli, Dipika Kakar, Archana Gautam, Usha Nadkarni, Rajiv Adatia, Kabita Singh, Faisal Shaikh (Mr Faisu), Abhijeet Sawant, Ayesha Jhulka, and Chandan Prabhakar.
Hosted by Farah Khan and judged by celebrity chefs Ranveer and Vikas Khanna, the show offered a perfect blend of entertainment and culinary challenges, keeping audiences hooked with its star-studded competition and mouth-watering dishes.
The reality show also managed to create a buzz with enough drama.
Gaurav became a household name with his portrayal of Anuj Kapadia in the hit show Anupamaa, alongside Rupali Ganguly.
He began his television career with supporting roles in shows like Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan and Meri Doli Tere Angana. His breakthrough came with Love Ne Mila Di Jodi. He further cemented his place in the industry with diverse roles in Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam and CID.
