Jaipur, 22 December (Hindustan Reporter). On the information of Anti Gangster Task Force Police Headquarters, Garhi police station of Banswara district arrested the accused truck driver Aanchal Singh, resident of Lalganj district Pratapgarh Uttar Pradesh, who was absconding for almost nine years in the case of self-destruction of a truck filled with 420 sacks of cement. Has been arrested from Amravati district of Maharashtra. A reward of Rs 25 thousand has been declared on the arrest of the accused.

Additional Director General of Police Anti Gangster Task Force Dinesh MN said that the team received inputs in the case of theft of a truck loaded with cement registered in 2015 at Garhi police station in Banswara district. Upon investigation by the team, the accused driver was found to be driving a truck in Amravati district of Maharashtra.

This information developed and strengthened by AGTF was shared with Garhi police station of Banswara district. From where a team was sent to Amravati district in search of the accused. Technical assistance was continuously being provided to this team from the police headquarters, with the help of which the police station detained the accused, who was arrested after interrogation.

The arrested accused Aanchal Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, used to be a truck driver in Banswara district in the year 2015. On June 28, 2015, the accused left for Surat with 420 bags of cement in his truck. When the transporter did not reach Surat even after the stipulated time, a report was lodged at Garhi police station that the goods including the truck had been destroyed by the transporter. During the investigation, the police had recovered the truck. The accused was absconding since the time of the incident, and if he was not arrested, a reward of Rs 25,000 was announced by the Superintendent of Police, Banswara.

The accused left his village and went to Maharashtra to escape from the police and started living there. He had enrolled in Amravati district itself and got his Aadhaar card made so that he could not be identified. After a lot of effort, AGTF developed the information received and got concrete information about his presence in Amravati area and got him arrested by Banswara Police.
