Lucknow: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has initiated action against illegal madrasas and illegal mosques in the state, including demolition campaign. This campaign is being carried out on a large scale, especially in the nearby districts of the Nepal border. A joint campaign has been launched by the State Police and Revenue Department. In which illegal madrasas and mosques are identified. This action has been started on the orders of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
An official government statement said that five illegal madrasas were sealed in Shravasti district on Thursday. With this, the number of madrasas sealed in the district has increased to 41. While a mosque built on government land in Bharatha and Roshan villages of Bhinda taluka was demolished. 139 illegal occupations were freed in this district. While notices were issued to those who built eight madrasas and three illegal tomb in Balrampur. Eight pressure was removed in Bahraich on Wednesday and Thursday. With this, the number of illegal buildings removed in this district increased to 133.
Action was taken against a total of 17 illegal religious places including three illegal mosques and 14 unregistered madrasas in Siddharthnagar district. Illegal land encroachment on the state border with Nepal is increasing. Government lands have been encroached, especially on the Indo-Nepal border in Maharajganj district. The government was informed that mosques, madrasas and dargahs have been built there. After which this campaign was started. The border between Nepal and India extends 84 km here. Most of the illegal madrasas are located within a 15 -km radius of Nepal, where strict steps are being taken.
