Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The miscreants arrested for stealing shuttering plates confessed to have committed a similar theft from another construction site under Katara Hills police station. The gang used another SUV (Thar) which they had taken on rent from a travel agency.
The miscreants were arrested by Awadhpuri police on Thursday and the stolen shuttering plates and the SUV worth Rs 20 lakh were seized from them. Those arrested included Uday Nagle (21), Siddhant Bhatnagar (18), two minors and a scrap dealer Naseem Khan who purchased the stolen plates.
The DCP Zone 2 Sanjay Agarwal told media persons on Friday that Uday and Siddhant confessed to have stolen another 90 shuttering plates from a construction site at Sapphire Park. An FIR was registered in connection with the theft at Katara Hills police station on complaint of contractor Prem Nigam.
Youth Held For Raping Minor
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Misrod police on Friday arrested a man accused of raping a minor girl. A case was registered against the accused on January 3 on the complaint of victim’s kin. On instructions of senior police officials, TI Manishraj Bhadoria constituted teams for the arrest of the accused identified as Virendra Gurjar (20) of Hanuman Nagar area.

On Friday, the police team received a tip-off that Virendra was present near Shani Mandir. A police team raided the spot and nabbed Virendra after a brief chase. The accused informed police that he raped the girl after finding her alone. He fled the spot and was evading arrest since the victim lodged a case against him. TI Bhadoria said that the accused has been sent to jail.
