Dhaka: Another advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh, Supdeep Chakma said that a successful talks between Narendra Modi and Mohammad Yunus took place during the recent BIMSTEC summit in Bangkok.
Along with this, Chakma said that this dialogue will really bring good results. He also recalled the freedom struggle of Bangladesh and said that since the independence of Bangladesh, there have been sweet relations between the two countries.
In an interview to ANI, Chakma said that during these talks, the two leaders shook hands and agreed to take the country towards progress.
Chakma further said that I seriously believe that the relationship between the two countries will move forward and I am sure that this dialogue will be fruitful.
He further said that Bangladesh’s majority (Muslims) would have to change their attitude towards minorities (Hindus etc.). Which is now slowly changing.
Analysts say this must have happened because Younus did not get a good response during his visit to China. The President of Maldives had a similar experience. On the other hand, Muhammad Yunus has now realized that deteriorating relations with India will cause huge trade deficit. So Younus has understood reality and hence he is improving relations with India.
