Mumbai – The High Court has upheld an order to give compensation of Rs 62 lakh to her family in case of accidental death of a 28 -year -old woman working as an animator in actor Shah Rukh Khan’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment. The female employee was seriously injured and paralyzed by a car collision while driving a rickshaw. He died after being in this condition for five years.

There is no malicious, illegal or irregularity in the order given by the motor vehicle accident claim tribunal in November 2020 regarding compensation to the employee’s family. The High Court refused to intervene in the decision, given that the order could not be canceled. The order said that citizens have the right to live a healthy life with respect and cannot be ignored.

Citing the order of the Supreme Court, the court said that the loss of life and property cannot be compensated by money, but efforts should be made to provide money to compensate for the loss. It is impossible to get full money withdrawal. Proper compensation should be a normal standard. The High Court said that compensation of Rs 62 lakh would be appropriate in this case.

But the court said that it would be appropriate to pay a compensation of Rs 62 lakh to provide justice to the family of Charu Khandal, who works as an animator in Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment Company.

Charu Khandal, who worked on VFX for Shah Rukh Khan’s film Ra One, attended the award party for her best performance in the film in 2012. From there she was returning riding in a rickshaw. At the same time a car hit the rickshaw, which seriously injured him. He got stroke and died in 2017 after being in the same position for five years. The insurance company argued that there was no relation between the woman’s death and accident injuries. And he died after more than four years.

The court said that the Khandal family had to spend Rs 18 lakh on medicine. The insurance company cannot deprive the family of compensation by using an over-technical approach.
