Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has unveiled its first-ever electric vehicle, the Activa E and the QC1, in Bengaluru. The introduction of these models marks a significant step in the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility in India. The electrified version of the Honda Activa scooter is set to make its debut alongside the QC1, a new electric offering. Bookings for both vehicles will open on January 1, 2025, with deliveries expected to begin in February 2025.

Honda has introduced the all-new ACTIVA e:, a revolutionary electric scooter that blends the brand’s iconic design with cutting-edge technology. Retaining the familiar Activa silhouette, it features modern touches like an all-LED headlight, tail lamp, and DRLs, delivering a sleek and bold aesthetic. The scooter is equipped with a 7.0-inch TFT screen for real-time connectivity, navigation, and automatic brightness adjustment, all controlled via handlebar-mounted toggle switches. Honda’s H-Smart key offers added convenience with features like Smart Find, Smart Safe, and Smart Start.

A standout feature of the ACTIVA e: is its swappable battery system, providing a convenient and efficient way to recharge on the go. With two 1.5 kWh batteries, the scooter offers a range of 102 km per full charge. Swapping stations for these batteries are already operational in Bengaluru and Delhi, with Mumbai set to follow. Powered by a 6 kW electric motor, the ACTIVA e: can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 7.3 seconds, with a top speed of 80 km/h. It offers three riding modes—Econ, Standard, and Sport—for versatile performance. Designed for both style and practicality, the ACTIVA e: features a dual-tone seat, 12-inch alloy wheels, and a spacious footboard, and is available in five attractive colors.

Honda QC1

Honda has launched the new QC1, an electric scooter that combines modern design with advanced technology. Its fluidic styling, with smooth body lines and LED headlights, gives it a futuristic and elegant look. The QC1 is available in five vibrant colors—Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Pearl Shallow Blue—allowing riders to choose a model that suits their personality. The scooter features stylish 12-inch front alloy wheels, rear-view mirrors, and a sturdy grab rail, enhancing its overall appeal.

Powered by a 1.5 kWh fixed battery, the QC1 offers a range of up to 80 km on a single charge. Charging is convenient with a 330-watt home charger that takes approximately 4.5 hours to charge from 0 to 80% and about 6.5 hours for a full charge. The scooter’s in-wheel electric motor provides a peak power of 1.8 kW and a top speed of 50 km/h. With two riding modes—Standard and Econ—the QC1 offers an optimized riding experience. It also includes a 5.0-inch LCD display, a USB Type-C outlet for device charging, and a spacious 26-liter under-seat storage, making it ideal for daily commuting.
