New Delhi: Veteran actor Dharmendra is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film ‘Rocky Aur R. Ki Prem Kah.’. Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi have also acted in this film. Dharmendra has previously worked with Jaya in films like Guddi and the iconic Sholay. According to Jaya herself, in those days she had a crush on Dharmendra and when he used to come on the set, she used to hide behind the sofa.
Talking to a private website, the actor said, “This is speaking of his love and respect. I have known Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh for a very long time. I still remember the fun times we had while shooting for Sholay. He also shared pleasant memories with everyone during the shooting of Sholay. In Rocky and R.’s love story, Dharmendra will also share screen space with Shabana Azmi, and there could be a romantic aspect to their story as well.
Dharmendra and Shabana were supposed to work together in a film long back, but it got cancelled. They were seen acting together in a film titled Mardon Wali Baat directed by Brij Sadana in the 1980s. On the other hand, Dharmendra’s second wife Hema Malini is being trolled for not going to Sunny Deol’s son’s wedding.
In an old interview with Simi Garewal, Hema had told how she was not bothered by Dharmendra’s other family and never competed with him for his time and attention. ‘Rocky Aur R. Ki Prem Kah.’ marks the first film of actor Dharmendra with Karan Johar.
The film is releasing on 28 July. Dharmendra was last seen in his 2018 film Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se. After the love story of Rocky and R., Dharmendra will be seen in ‘Apne 2’.
