2036 Olympics Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given a big statement amid the exercise to host the Games. Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the High Performance Sports Center in his parliamentary constituency Gandhinagar, Shah said that Gujarat has become the largest sports infrastructure state in the country. Shah said that India is committed to hosting 2036 Olympics at Motra, Ahmedabad. Shah said that 10 new stadiums will be built in Sardar Patel Sports Complex next to Narendra Modi Stadium. The government has arranged 233 acres of land for this campus. This will be the largest sports complex in the country.

The venue of 2036 sports will be decided by the Olympic Sports Organizing Committee this year. The Government of India has submitted a formal bid for hosting the Olympic Games in Ahmedabad. Earlier, Amit Shah had given a statement about the Olympic Games in Vadnagar and said that it is PM Modi’s dream to organize the Olympic Games in Gujarat. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that India has taken a pledge that Sardar Patel, next to the world’s largest Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Motra, 2036, will be played in the sports complex. The Gujarat government is making complete preparations for this.
This center will be ready in two years
Shah said that Para High Performance Sports Center is being built in Gandhinagar at a cost of Rs 325 crore. Divyang players will get global training here. There is no such facility anywhere in the whole country. This center will be operational in one and a half to two years. Shah said that when Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he used to say ‘Khel Gujarat’ and now the Bhupendra Patel government of Gujarat is committed to realize his original mantra ‘Khel for all’. He said that when Narendra Modi became the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2002, the sports budget of Gujarat was Rs 2.5 crore. Today in 2025 it has increased to Rs 352 crore.
