Nawada, 29 November (HS). Voting for the third phase of PACS elections has started on Friday at 139 polling stations in four blocks of Nawada district amid tight security. Armed forces have been deployed at all the polling stations.

Additional Collector of Nawada Chandrashekhar Azad inspected Parma, Kahuara polling station of Nardiganj block and declared the election peaceful and fair. Additional Collector said that strict security arrangements have been made in these areas also.

Nawada District Magistrate cum District Elected Officer Ravi Prakash said that voting has been started for the third phase PACS elections in Nawada district. Voting is going on amidst tight security. So far 35 percent voters have exercised their franchise.

He said that voting is being conducted in Roh and Akbarpur of Rajauli sub-division and Nardiganj and Nawada block areas of Nawada sub-division. Tight security arrangements have been made at the polling centres. Besides, intensive inspection of polling stations is being done under the leadership of 20 Sector Magistrates. Strict security arrangements have also been made in the militancy affected areas where elections are being conducted in view of senior officials.

Additional Collector said that voting is being conducted peacefully. No irregularities have been reported from any place.
