Washington: US President Donald Trump has started dreaming of completely eliminating the income tax to avoid the anger of the Americans due to increasing inflation due to the tariff he has imposed. He said in an interview that the US will get so much revenue from the tariff that we will be in a position to completely eliminate income tax. He also criticized the connecting tariff with a gathering.
Trump said in an interview that his tariff policy can earn so much that income tax can be completely eliminated. He said that the tariff of America would be emptied. He gave the example of tariffs being the main source of government revenue from 1870 to 1913. During this time we earned so much from tariffs that we became the richest country.
He said that by eliminating income tax, the burden on American citizens can be reduced. America will benefit greatly by imposing tariffs on other countries. Trump said that we are currently earning billions of dollars per day due to tariffs. We have never earned so much money before.
Trump first imposed a mutual tariff on 180 countries on 2 April 2025. Trump imposed a baseline tariff of 10 percent on all countries. Subsequently, these countries were charged a mutual fee ranging from 11 percent to 50 percent. This tariff was based on America’s business gains and losses and tariffs on American goods with each country.
Subsequently, on 9 April, Trump suspended the mutual tariff on all countries except China for 90 days, but retained the basic tariff of 10 percent. Trump has currently imposed a 245 percent tariff on China and China has imposed 125 percent tariff on it.
