According to the information, the number of women who want to undergo premature delivery before January 20 in American hospitals is increasing. A survey has revealed that many Americans are opposing this new decision regarding Trump’s citizenship.
Demand for C-section before 20th February
According to information received from doctors in America, there has been a huge increase in the demand of parents for premature delivery. Most of these are women who are in their eighth or ninth month of pregnancy. All of them want to get C-section done before 20th February. The special thing is that there are many women whose delivery is still several months away.
Elaborating on this, the doctors said, ‘We are trying to explain to the couples that premature delivery is possible, but it is a big risk for the mother and the child. Its complications include underdeveloped lungs, underweight, neurological problems etc.’ It is worth noting that after January 20, children of parents who are not American citizens or green card holders will not get American citizenship.

Talking about this, a woman who was preparing to give birth to a child in March said, ‘We have been waiting for the green card for 6 years. This is the only way for stability for our family. We are afraid of uncertainties.
Case filed in court against Trump’s decision
Trump’s order has been challenged in court by 22 Democratic-dominated states and several civil rights groups. Notably, Democratic-dominated states as well as the District of Columbia and San Francisco filed the first case in federal court in Boston on Tuesday. In which it was said that this decision violates the American Constitution. After this case, American Civil Liberties Union and immigrant organization have also approached the court.
What is Trump’s new order?
According to Trump’s new order, if a child wants US citizenship at birth, one of the parents must be a US citizen. Apart from this, the person must have a green card or be in the US military.
