A tourist helicopter in New York City, US crashed into the Hudson River, killing six members of the same family. According to the report, three children are also included in the dead. New York Mayor Eric Adams said that those killed in the accident were members of the same family from Spain and the helicopter pilot was also with him. According to AFP, two people were rushed to the hospital after the accident, but could not be saved.
Mayor Adams regretted the incident.
Expressing grief over the incident, Mayor Adams said, “All six people have now been taken out of the water and sadly they are all dead.” He described it as a very sad and heartbreaking accident.
Six bodies were removed from the river.
Although the authorities have not yet released the names of the victims, but according to the New York Post, the helicopter was in Spain’s president and CEO Agustin Escobar, his wife and three children in Spain.
According to the report, shortly after flying, eyewitnesses saw the helicopter moving and after a few seconds it started moving fast and fell directly into the Hudson River. Emergency teams immediately started rescue operations after the accident. Six bodies were removed from the river. Four people died on the spot, while two people died in the hospital. The victims also include three innocent children.
