The growing stress in relations between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack is no secret. Pakistan is continuously provoking India by violating ceasefire. Meanwhile, India has signed a major military agreement with the US.

The deal is $ 130 million.

The United States has approved the deal of maritime monitoring technology and equipment selling to India. The deal is made under the Indo-Pacific Maritime Domain Awareness (IPMDA) program, aimed at monitoring India’s maritime borders and security.

The deal is $ 130 million. India requested the US to buy Sea Vision Software, Technical Assistance Field Team (TAFT) training, remote software and analytical assistance and other equipment.

Remote support will provide distance technical support for software and data analysis.

The C Vision Software is a web-based software that monitors marine activities. It also includes some specific amendments according to India’s requirements. This software helps to monitor the movement of vessels, illegal activities and environmental threats within marine borders.

A team of American experts in Technical Assistance and Training (TAFT) will provide training in India to effectively use the Indian Navy and other forces. Also, remote support will provide distance technical support for software and data analysis.

The agreement will promote defense cooperation between the two countries. The United States considers India a major defense partner that is important for peace and stability in Indo-Pacific and South Asia. According to the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), the agreement will not affect the regional military balance nor will it require deployment of American military personnel in India.
