There are 3 categories in the ban list. In which some countries will be given full visa ban, partial ban on some and some countries will be given 60 days to improve. It is believed that national security is the main objective behind this decision. This ban will have the biggest impact on Pakistan and Afghanistan. Citizens of these countries will have to face difficulties in entering the United States. This decision can be a major setback for those who have taken refuge in Afghanistan after the Taliban control.

Countries were divided into three groups.

The first group consists of 10 countries, leading to Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Cuba and North Korea. Visa will be completely banned for citizens of these countries. The second group consists of five countries: Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar and South Sudan. These countries will face partial suspension, which will affect tourist and student visas as well as other immigrant visas, although there may be exceptions in some cases. The third group consists of 26 countries, including countries such as Belarus, Pakistan and Turkmenistan. Citizens of these countries can be partially banned on issuing visas. However, these countries will be given an opportunity to remove security flaws within 60 days.

Trump had already promised

Soon after becoming President, Donald Trump issued an executive order on 20 January, ordered a tight security inquiry for foreign nationals wishing to enter the United States. In the order, several cabinet members have been asked to provide a list of those countries by 21 March. America can now change this list. This means that many countries can be added to it and many countries can be excluded from it. After this, the list will be announced only after the approval of the administration.
