Since January 2025, the US has sent 682 Indians back to India. These people were mostly trying to illegally enter America. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has given this information. Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh told the Lok Sabha on Friday that these people were caught on the US border and after identifying them, they were sent back to India. He says that this will not have any significant impact on the money (such as money) coming from abroad from abroad, as these people were caught before starting work in America.

Know the whole event

According to a news channel report, the Government of India is trying to solve this problem in association with the US. It has two major problems especially. First, some people try to go to America without proper documents and second, some people illegally do business of sending others to America.

The Government of India is taking strict steps to prevent these irregularities. Action is being taken against those committing such crimes, such as fake agents or smugglers. In addition, the government wants students, working people and tourists to travel abroad safely.

Who has returned?

1. People who entered America without permission.

2. Those whose visa period was over, but they stayed.

3. Those who had no documents.

4. Who committed crime there?

The US has submitted a list of these people to India. The Government of India first checks whether they are really Indian or not. They will be withdrawn only when it is confirmed that they are Indian citizens.

How many people came back?

From 2009 to 2024, the US deported 15,564 Indians. Of these, 388 people are from January 2025 till now. This means that a total of 682 people have returned so far this year. The Government of India is worried that those sent back should be treated well. Therefore, this has been discussed with the US and its displeasure has also been expressed.
