Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s Sikandar has failed to make a mark at the box office, and there have been reports that even shows are being canceled. Not many Bollywood celebs have spoken about Sikandar, but Salman’s good friend, Ameesha Patel, recently opened up about the movie while talking to the paparazzi in Mumbai. She stated that she loved the film and also spoke about the negativity surrounding it.
When the paps asked her if she had watched Sikandar and what she thought of the film, Ameesha said, “Mujhe bahot achchi lagi (I liked it a lot).”
Further when asked her about the negativity revolving around the movie, the Gadar 2 star said, “Kuch toh log kahenge logo ka kaam hai kehna. Yeh bewakufi ki baatein hai. Film achchi jaa rahi hai, logo ko pasand aarahi hai. Mujhe toh bahot achchi lagi, maine dekhi. Emotion hai, action hai, gaane hai, aur kya chahiye? Ek dum masale daar achchi film hai (People will say something, it’s their job to say. These are all foolish things. The film is doing well, and people like it. I liked it a lot. There’s emotion, action, songs, what else do you want? It is a massy film).”
Ameesha On Salman Khan-Rashmika Mandanna’s Age Gap
Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna have an age gap of 31 years. When Ameesha was asked about their jodi, the 49-year-old actress said, “Mere aur Sunny ji ke bhi beech mein 20 years ka age gap hai, par jab jodi chalti hai toh chalti hai, aur kuch nahi keh sakte (Even there’s an age gap of 20 years between me and Sunny (Deol). But, if a jodi works and then one cannot say anything).”
Sikandar Box Office Collection
In five days, Sikandar has collected Rs. 90.25 crore at the domestic box office. The film will reach the 100 crore mark by the end of its first week, which is quite disappointing. It looks like Sikandar’s lifetime collection will be around Rs. 110-120 crore. Reportedly, it was mounted on a budget of Rs. 200 crore.
