Amazing tradition of Sun Tilak in Ayodhya on Ramnavami, presence of millions of devotees

Today, the festival of Ram Navami is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. Grand preparations have been made for this special day in Ayodhya, where the Sun of Lord Ramlala is going to be Tilak. At 12 noon, the rays of the sun will fall on the forehead of Ramlala, which is called Sun Tilak. 20 to 30 lakh devotees are expected to arrive in Ayodhya to see this historical view. Keeping this in mind, the administration has strengthened the system of security and traffic. Inspector General of Police of Ayodhya Range Praveen Kumar said that the entire city is divided into different zones and sectors.

Why is Sun Tilak special?

People come to Ayodhya from every corner of the country to see Lord Rama, but this time the day of Ram Navami is special. The reason for this is Sun Tilak, which is very important from religious and symbolic point of view. According to mythological belief, Lord Shri Ram was born in Suryavansh and the Sun God is considered to be his king. Therefore, on the day of Ram Navami, the rays of the Sun God fall on the frontier of Lord Rama, which is considered a symbol of faith.

How is Sun Tilak?

This tradition is played through special technology in the Ram temple. At the time of the construction of the temple, special care was taken to reach the front of Ramnavami at 12 noon on the day of Ramnavami to reach the frontal of the statue of Ramlala in the sanctum sanctorum directly from the temple’s summit.

Three mirrors have been used in this system. The first mirror is placed on the peak of the temple, on which when the rays of the sun fall, they are bended at 90 degrees and sent to another mirror through one pipe. Then the rays from a brass pipe reach the third mirror, in which they finally reach the forehead of Ramlala and the sun tilak is completed.

Sun Tilak will be at 12 noon

On the day of Ramnavami, this Sun will be Tilak at exactly 12 noon. The enthusiasm of watching this unique tradition is at the peak among the devotees. It is estimated that today millions of people in Ayodhya will see Ramlala and will be witness to this historic moment.
