Actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Aly Goni has come forward in support of Samay Raina amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the comedian’s YouTube show, India’s Got Latent. Aly expressed disappointed after Samay revealed that he deleted all the episodes of the show from his channel.

Aly shared his views on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating, “They forced Samay to delete all the episodes of latent.. not cool.. that 1 episode should have been deleted that’s it.. He has worked hard to make this show successful.. where everyone was praising him few days back now everyone is against him lol kya yaar.”

On February 12, Samay Raina announced via social media that he removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel.

He wrote, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all Indias Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly.”

The Controversy

The controversy centers on a particular episode of India’s Got Latent featuring YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as Beer Biceps. During the episode, he posed a provocative question to a contestant: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?”

This remark was met with widespread backlash, leading to allegations of promoting obscenity and vulgar content.

In response to the public outcry, Ranveer issued a public apology, acknowledging his lapse in judgment and expressing regret for his comments. He stated that his attempt at humour was inappropriate and unfunny, conceding that comedy isn’t his forte.

The incident prompted legal actions, with complaints filed against Ranveer, Samay, and other associated individuals. The National Commission for Women (NCW) summoned the involved parties, and the Assam Police registered a complaint against them, citing charges of promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit and vulgar discussions.

In light of the escalating situation, Samay decided to remove all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel, expressing his intent to cooperate fully with investigative agencies.
