Tight arrangements for peace and security
The administration has made security arrangements at several levels to make the prayers of goodbye jumme peacefully:
- Drone monitoring: Drone cameras are being monitored in sensitive areas so that every movement of the crowd is monitored.
- Vigilance on social media: Social media is also being monitored to prevent rumors and misleading news from spreading.
- Flag march and police deployment: Police and administration teams are carrying out flag marches in Lucknow, Meerut, Sambhal and Prayagraj.
- Prohibition on collecting on roofs: People are forbidden to crowd the roofs to avoid any kind of untoward.
- Restrictions on 2500 people: In Sambhal district, the administration has banned 2500 people as a precaution, so that the atmosphere remains peaceful.
Preparation of administration in Sambhal
Sambhal Additional Superintendent of Police Shrish Chandra informed that there is no restriction on offering Namaz traditionally, but people have not been allowed to offer namaz on the roofs due to security reasons. In the peace committee meeting held on Wednesday, people sought permission for prayers on the roofs, but the administration rejected it in view of security.
High alert in Lucknow, Meerut and Prayagraj also
Police-administration is also ready in Meerut and Prayagraj including the capital Lucknow. Security forces have been deployed outside mosques and Idgahs. The officials have appealed to the public to maintain peace and follow the administration’s instructions.
